Southampton Indians (Courtland, VA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Charles City Panthers (Charles City, VA), 43-32 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Southampton upgrades its record to 4-3 on the season. The Indians travel to Brunswick (Lawrenceville, VA) to play the Bulldogs in a Tri-Rivers bout on Monday, January 8. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 6-0.

Next up, the Panthers play the Middlesex Chargers (Saluda, VA) in a Tidewater bout, on Friday, January 5. Charles City will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record.
