In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Southampton Indians (Courtland, VA) basketball squad beat the visiting Charles City Panthers (Charles City, VA), by a count of 60-40.
The Indians (1-1) will now prepare for their outing against Franklin (Franklin, VA). The Broncos go into the Tri-Rivers outing with a 0-2 record. In their last outing, Franklin was topped by Lakeland (Suffolk, VA), 40-38, in a non-league outing.
