The St. Michael the Archangel Guardians basketball team (Lee's Summit, MO), was nudged 39-37 in Wednesday's league battle with the visiting University Academy Charter Gryphons (Kansas City, MO)

The Gryphons now possess a 9-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Barstow for a non-league battle on Thursday, January 4. University Academy Charter will confront a Knights team coming off a 61-27 non-league loss to Shawnee Mission Northwest (Shawnee Mission, KS). The Knights record now stands at 1-3.

The Guardians (4-4) will now prepare for their battle against Summit Christian Academy (Lee's Summit, MO). The Eagles come into the Crossroads battle with a 5-4 record. In their last battle, Summit Christian Academy edged Hogan Prep Charter (Kansas City, MO), 59-38, in a non-league battle.
