Virginia High School Basketball - Alleghany overwhelmed by Carroll County

The Carroll County Cavaliers basketball team scored 47 points and restricted the host Alleghany Cougars to 12 in the Cavaliers non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Cavaliers now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Glenvar for a non-league contest on Friday, January 5. Carroll County will battle a Highlanders team coming off a 30-18 non-league loss to Patrick County (Stuart, VA). The Highlanders record now stands at 1-5.
The Cougars (0-7) will now prepare for their contest against James River (Buchanan, VA). The Knights come into the non-league contest with a 0-5 record. In their last contest, James River was routed by Floyd County (Floyd, VA), 31-23, in a non-league contest.
