The Floyd County Buffaloes (Floyd, VA) basketball knocked off the visiting James River Knights (Buchanan, VA), 31-23 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Buffaloes (1-2) will now prepare for their test against Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA). The Eagles go into the non-league test with a 0-4 record. In their last test, Franklin County went down by Northside (Roanoke, VA), 32-11, in a non-league test.

The Knights now own a 0-4 record. They play next when they host Alleghany for a non-league test on Friday, January 5. James River will battle a Cougars team coming off a 47-12 non-league loss to Carroll County (Hillsville, VA). The Cougars record now stands at 0-7.
