North Carolina High School Basketball - Hoggard crushes Ashley

The Hoggard Vikings (Wilmington, NC) basketball crushed the host Ashley Screaming Eagle (Wilmington, NC), 70-45 in Friday's league bout.

The Vikings now possess a 10-2 record. They play next when they host Topsail for a 3A/4A Mideastern bout on Tuesday, January 7. Hoggard will play a Pirates team coming off a 60-20 league win over South Brunswick (Southport, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 6-5.

With the loss, Ashley falls to 5-7 on the campaign. The Screaming eagle host West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC) to play the Trojans in a 3A/4A Mideastern bout on Tuesday, January 7. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 8-5. West Brunswick won 61-47 in their recent league bout against North Brunswick (Leland, NC)
