The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Wausa Vikings (Wausa, NE) and the visiting Boyd County Spartans (Spencer, NE), observed Wausa's basketball team edge Boyd County by a score of 35-29.

The Vikings (7-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Niobrara/Verdigre (Niobrara, NE). The Cougars come into the non-league challenge with a 0-8 record. In their last challenge, Niobrara/Verdigre was tipped by Creighton (Creighton, NE), 43-29, in a non-league challenge.
