The Central Lions (Carrollton, GA) basketball edged the host Starr's Mill Panthers (Fayetteville, GA), 75-69 in Friday's league game.

The Lions now possess a 11-3 record. They play next when they travel to Jonesboro for a AAAA Region 3 game on Tuesday, January 7. Central will confront a Cardinals team coming off a 55-45 non-league win over Enterprise (Enterprise, AL). The Cardinals record now stands at 7-4.
