The Wakeland Wolverines basketball team scored 69 points and limited the host Creekview Mustangs to 42 in the Wolverines league triumph on Friday.

The Wolverines now have a 14-8 record. They play next when they host Lone Star for a 5A Region II District 12 game on Tuesday, January 7. Wakeland will confront a Rangers team coming off a 89-41 league win over Turner (Carrollton, TX). The Rangers record now stands at 15-8.

With the loss, Creekview moves to 8-13 on the season. The Mustangs travel to The Colony (The Colony, TX) to battle the Cougars in a 5A Region II District 12 challenge on Tuesday, January 7. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 14-9. The Colony lost 73-46 in their recent league challenge against Highland Park (Dallas, TX)
