In Friday's league contest, the host George Stevens Academy Eagles basketball team scored a good 51-36 triumph over the Piscataquis Pirates.
The Eagles (4-2) will now prepare for their contest against Deer Isle-Stonington (Deer Isle, ME). The Mariners go into the non-league contest with a 0-8 record. In their last contest, Deer Isle-Stonington was topped by Machias (Machias, ME), 85-9, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Pirates battle the Greenville Lakers (Greenville, ME) in a non-league contest, on Monday, January 6. Piscataquis will attempt to better on its 1-6 season record. The Lakers go into the contest with a 2-4 record after their 67-33 non-league loss to Penquis Valley (Milo, ME).
