In Friday's league contest, the visiting Shea Raiders basketball team scored a good 63-48 triumph over the Johnston Panthers.

The Raiders (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Lincoln (Lincoln, RI). The Lions go into the Division I contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, Lincoln topped Tolman (Pawtucket, RI), 70-52, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Panthers confront the Westerly Bulldogs (Westerly, RI) in a Division I contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Johnston will attempt to better on its 0-7 season record. The Bulldogs go into the contest with a 4-3 record after their 70-63 non-league loss to South Kingstown (Wakefield, RI).
