In Friday's league test, the Wheeler Lions (North Stonington, CT) basketball squad trounced the host Lyman Memorial Bulldogs (Lebanon, CT), by a score of 57-31.
Next, the Lions encounter the Putnam Clippers (Putnam, CT) in a Eastern Connecticut IV test, on Tuesday, January 7. Wheeler will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Clippers come into the test with a 2-3 record after their 67-64 league win over Plainfield (Central Village, CT).
The Bulldogs (1-4) will now prepare for their test against Bacon Academy (Colchester, CT). The Bobcats come into the non-league test with a 2-0 record.
