North Carolina High School Basketball - McDowell victorious over South Caldwell

January 3, 2025: Marion, NC 28752

In Friday's non-league contest, the host McDowell Titans basketball team scored a good 68-51 triumph over the South Caldwell Spartans.

The Titans (11-1) will now prepare for their contest against North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC). The Black Hawks go into the 3A/4A Mountain contest with a 6-5 record. In their last contest, North Buncombe topped North Henderson (Hendersonville, NC), 74-69, in a non-league contest.

Next up, the Spartans face the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) in a 3A/4A Northwestern match, on Friday, January 10. South Caldwell will attempt to upgrade on its 9-4 season record. The Pioneers enter the match with a 8-3 record after their 70-60 non-league win over A.C. Reynolds (Asheville, NC).
