The Serra Catholic Eagles defeated the host Monessen Greyhounds basketball squad by a final score of 63-50 in Friday's league outing.

Next, the Eagles clash with the St. Joseph Spartans (Natrona Heights, PA) in a WPIAL 1A 2 outing, on Tuesday, January 7. Serra Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 9-1 season record. The Spartans come into the outing with a 4-4 record after their 70-57 league loss to Geibel Catholic (Connellsville, PA).
