In Friday's league contest, the host Polytechnic Parrots basketball team scored a close 30-28 triumph over the Wyatt Chaparrals.

The Parrots (8-11) will now prepare for their contest against North Side (Fort Worth, TX). The Steers go into the 5A Region I District 7 contest with a 5-13 record. In their last contest, North Side was tipped by Paschal (Fort Worth, TX), 81-44, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Chaparrals confront the South Hills Scorpions (Fort Worth, TX) in a 5A Region I District 7 contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Wyatt will attempt to better on its 2-16 season record. The Scorpions go into the contest with a 3-17 record after their 74-39 league loss to Arlington Heights (Fort Worth, TX).
