In Friday's league contest, the visiting Huntington Beach Oilers basketball team scored a big 48-14 triumph over the Newport Harbor Sailors.

The Oilers (11-6) will now prepare for their contest against Corona del Mar (Newport Beach, CA). The Sea Kings go into the Sunset contest with a 9-7 record. In their last contest, Corona del Mar smashed Campbell Hall (North Hollywood, CA), 63-55, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Sailors battle the Los Alamitos Griffins (Los Alamitos, CA) in a Sunset contest, on Saturday, January 4. Newport Harbor will attempt to better on its 7-11 season record. The Griffins go into the contest with a 11-5 record after their 97-11 league win over Edison (Huntington Beach, CA).
