In Friday's league contest, the visiting St. Peter Saints basketball team scored a big 74-35 win over the Worthington Trojans.
The Saints (8-2) will now prepare for their contest against Marshall (Marshall, MN). The Tigers come into the AAA Section 2 contest with a 13-0 record. In their last contest, Marshall smashed Waseca (Waseca, MN), 65-22, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Trojans battle the New Ulm Eagles (New Ulm, MN) in a AAA Section 2 contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Worthington will attempt to better on its 1-9 season record. The Eagles come into the contest with a 7-6 record after their 83-53 non-league win over Cotter (Winona, MN).
