The Steele Comets ice hockey squad (Amherst, OH), was trounced 7-2 in Friday's league battle with the host Mentor Cardinals (Mentor, OH)

With the win, Mentor moves its record to 12-8 on the year. The Cardinals host Hudson (Hudson, OH) to confront the Explorers in a battle on Friday, January 10. The Explorers enter the battle with a record of 9-7.
