The Stearns Minutemen tipped the host Mattanawcook Lynx basketball team by a final score of 57-55 in Monday's league game.
Coming up next, the Minutemen battle the Bangor Christian Patriots (Bangor, ME) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, February 2. Stearns will attempt to improve on its 6-8 season record. The Patriots come into the battle with a 12-2 record after their 58-17 league win over Deer Isle-Stonington (Deer Isle, ME).
The Lynx (2-12) will now prepare for their battle against Woodland (Baileyville, ME). The Dragons come into the C North battle with a 10-4 record. In their last battle, Woodland was nudged by Jonesport-Beals (Jonesport, ME), 54-53, in a non-league battle.
