Michigan High School Basketball - Avondale can't hold off Oak Park

The Oak Park Knights basketball team scored 51 points and restricted the visiting Avondale Yellowjackets to 48 in the Knights non-league victory on Monday.

The Knights now sport a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bloomfield Hills for a Oakland - White contest on Thursday, February 2. Oak Park will battle a Black Hawks team coming off a 60-45 league win over Farmington (Farmington, MI). The Black Hawks record now stands at 11-2.

The Yellowjackets (4-11) will now prepare for their contest against University (Ferndale, MI). The Eagles come into the non-league contest with a 1-11 record. In their last contest, University was nudged by Huron Valley Lutheran (Westland, MI), 37-20, in a non-league contest.
