Michigan High School Basketball - Avondale can't hold off Oak Park

The Oak Park Knights basketball team scored 55 points and held the host Avondale Yellowjackets to 49 in the Knights league triumph on Friday.

The Knights now sport a 8-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Melvindale for a non-league contest on Monday, February 13. Oak Park will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 50-25 league loss to Garden City (Garden City, MI). The Cardinals record now stands at 3-12.

The Yellowjackets (5-13) will now prepare for their contest against Notre Dame Prep (Pontiac, MI). The Fighting Irish enter the non-league contest with a 7-13 record. In their last contest, Notre Dame Prep was nudged by Oakland Christian (Auburn Hills, MI), 47-36, in a non-league contest.
