Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart Mustangs (Hector, MN) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Thunderbirds (Winthrop, MN), 66-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart upgrades its record to 16-0 on the season. The Mustangs host New Ulm Cathedral (New Ulm, MN) to play the Greyhounds in a A Section 2 bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Greyhounds go into the bout with a record of 4-10. New Ulm Cathedral lost 50-25 in their recent non-league bout against Wabasso (Wabasso, MN)

Next up, the Thunderbirds play the Minnesota Valley Lutheran Chargers (New Ulm, MN) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 3. Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record.
