West Iron County Wykons (Iron River, MI) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Kingsford Flivvers (Kingsford, MI), 63-51 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, West Iron County upgrades its record to 7-6 on the campaign. The Wykons travel to L'Anse (L'Anse, MI) to play the Purple Hornets in a non-league bout on Friday, February 3. The Purple Hornets come into the bout with a record of 6-6.

Next up, the Flivvers play the Norway Knights (Norway, MI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Kingsford will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record. The Knights come into the bout with a 14-1 record after their 39-34 non-league loss to Niagara (Niagara, WI).
