Honey Grove Warriors (Honey Grove, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Bland Tigers (Merit, TX), 53-29 in a league bout.

With the win, Honey Grove upgrades its record to 23-4 on the season. The Warriors travel to Whitewright (Whitewright, TX) to clash with the Tigers in a 2A Region II District 14 bout on Friday, February 2. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 9-15. Whitewright lost 39-29 in their recent league bout against Wolfe City (Wolfe City, TX)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Celeste Blue Devils (Celeste, TX) in a 2A Region II District 14 bout, on Friday, February 2. Bland will attempt to upgrade on its 15-14 season record. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a 11-14 record after their 51-47 league loss to Tom Bean (Tom Bean, TX).
