Highlands Highlanders (Highlands, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Blue Ridge Early College Bobcats (Cashiers, NC), 61-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Highlands upgrades its record to 4-14 on the season. The Highlanders travel to Nantahala (Topton, NC) to play the Hawks in a 1A Little Smoky bout on Friday, February 2. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 3-10.

Next up, the Bobcats play the Summit Charter Bears (Cashiers, NC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 1. Blue Ridge Early College will attempt to upgrade on its 3-13 season record. The Bears go into the bout with a 0-10 record after their 81-8 non-league loss to Andrews (Andrews, NC).
