In Tuesday's league outing, the Mt. Pleasant Panthers (Mt. Pleasant, IA) basketball squad beat the visiting Burlington Grayhounds (Burlington, IA), by a margin of 72-61.

The Panthers (11-4) will now prepare for their outing against Keokuk (Keokuk, IA). The Chiefs go into the Southeast outing with a 13-4 record. In their last outing, Keokuk defeated Fort Madison (Fort Madison, IA), 56-46, in a league outing.

The Grayhounds now own a 2-12 record. They play next when they travel to Fairfield for a non-league outing on Friday, February 2. Burlington will clash with a Trojans squad coming off a 68-59 non-league loss to Albia (Albia, IA). The Trojans record now stands at 1-15.
