The Mt. Pleasant Panthers basketball team scored 65 points and held the host Burlington Grayhounds to 53 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Panthers now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Burlington for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 2. Mt. Pleasant will battle a Falcons team coming off a 59-58 league win over Holy Trinity Catholic (Fort Madison, IA). The Falcons record now stands at 2-0.

The Grayhounds (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Davenport North (Davenport, IA). The Wildcats enter the Mississippi contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Davenport North ran past Jefferson (Cedar Rapids, IA), 56-54, in a non-league contest.
