With the victory, Byrd upgrades its record to 5-17 on the campaign. The Yellow Jackets host Natchitoches Central (Natchitoches, LA) to play the Chiefs in a 5A District 1 challenge on Friday, February 2. The Chiefs come into the challenge with a record of 22-4.

Next up, the Panthers play the Airline Vikings (Bossier City, LA) in a 5A District 1 challenge, on Friday, February 2. Parkway will attempt to upgrade on its 11-14 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 16-10 record after their 55-54 league win over Captain Shreve (Shreveport, LA).
