Mesick Bulldogs (Mesick, MI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Catholic Central Sabers (Manistee, MI), 54-36 in a league bout.

With the win, Mesick upgrades its record to 5-11 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Mason County Eastern (Custer, MI) to play the Cardinals in a West Michigan D bout on Thursday, February 1. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 6-9. Mason County Eastern lost 59-36 in their recent league bout against Brethren (Brethren, MI)

Next up, the Sabers play the Marion Eagles (Marion, MI) in a West Michigan D bout, on Thursday, February 1. Catholic Central will attempt to upgrade on its 5-11 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 7-10 record after their 54-44 league win over Pentwater (Pentwater, MI).
