The Palmetto Scholars Academy Phoenix basketball team (North Charleston, SC), was toppled 52-43 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Charleston Math & Science Riptide (Charleston, SC)

The Riptide now possess a 11-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cross for a A Region 8 battle on Friday, February 2. Charleston Math & Science will confront a Trojans team coming off a 68-63 league win over Burke (Charleston, SC). The Trojans record now stands at 16-4.

The Phoenix (2-11) will now prepare for their battle against St. John's (John's Island, SC). The Islanders come into the A Region 8 battle with a 6-16 record. In their last battle, St. John's beat Lowcountry Leadership (Hollywood, SC), 83-50, in a league battle.
