City View Mustangs (Wichita Falls, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Vernon Lions (Vernon, TX), 72-60 in a league bout.

With the victory, City View upgrades its record to 15-9 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Bowie (Bowie, TX) to play the Jackrabbits in a 3A Region I District 7 bout on Friday, February 2. The Jackrabbits come into the bout with a record of 15-15. Bowie won 62-55 in their recent league bout against Henrietta (Henrietta, TX)

Next up, the Lions play the Bowie Jackrabbits (Bowie, TX) in a 3A Region I District 7 bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Vernon will attempt to upgrade on its 18-8 season record. The Jackrabbits come into the bout with a 15-16 record after their 65-42 league loss to City View (Wichita Falls, TX).
