The Dime Box Longhorns basketball team scored 58 points and held the host Round Top-Carmine Cubs to 43 in the Longhorns league triumph on Tuesday.

The Longhorns now sport a 7-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Calvert for a 1A Region IV District 29 contest on Tuesday, February 6. Dime Box will battle a Trojans team coming off a 68-24 league win over North Zulch (North Zulch, TX). The Trojans record now stands at 14-8.

The Cubs (2-18) will now prepare for their contest against McDade (McDade, TX). The Bulldogs enter the 1A Region IV District 29 contest with a 4-15 record. In their last contest, McDade was defeated by Fayetteville (Fayetteville, TX), 64-27, in a league contest.
