In Tuesday's league outing, the Troup Tigers (Troup, TX) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Elysian Fields Yellowjackets (Elysian Fields, TX), by a count of 64-41.

The Tigers (22-6) will now prepare for their outing against Waskom (Waskom, TX). The Wildcats go into the 3A Region II District 16 outing with a 9-20 record. In their last outing, Waskom was crushed by Tatum (Tatum, TX), 97-34, in a league outing.

The Yellowjackets now hold a 10-10 record. They play next when they host King's Academy for a non-league outing on Friday, February 2. Elysian Fields will clash with a Knights squad coming off a 55-32 non-league win over LEAD Academy (Lufkin, TX). The Knights record now stands at 9-17.
