Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the George County Rebels (Lucedale, MS) and the visiting Long Beach Bearcats (Long Beach, MS), saw George County's basketball squad knock off Long Beach by a count of 59-51.

With the victory, George County upgrades its record to 7-16 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to Greene County (Leakesville, MS) to play the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 2. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 14-10. Greene County won 59-26 in their recent league challenge against Poplarville (Poplarville, MS)

Next up, the Bearcats play the St. Martin Yellow Jackets (Ocean Springs, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 1. Long Beach will attempt to upgrade on its 4-22 season record. The Yellow Jackets come into the challenge with a 4-20 record after their 75-26 league loss to Harrison Central (Gulfport, MS).
