The Prairie City/Burnt River basketball team (Prairie City, OR), was overwhelmed 81-52 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Grant Union Prospectors (John Day, OR)
The Prospectors now possess a 14-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Stanfield for a 2A Blue Mountain battle on Friday, February 2. Grant Union will confront a Tigers team coming off a 105-40 league win over Irrigon (Irrigon, OR). The Tigers record now stands at 14-5.
The (9-11) will now prepare for their battle against Dayville/Monument (Dayville, OR). The Tigers come into the 1A High Desert battle with a 1-15 record. In their last battle, Dayville/Monument was overwhelmed by Huntington (Huntington, OR), 39-31, in a league battle.
