North Carolina High School Basketball - Hoke County fells Lee County

January 30, 2024: Raeford, NC 28376

Hoke County Bucks (Raeford, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Lee County Yellow Jackets (Sanford, NC), 68-57 in a league bout.

With the win, Hoke County upgrades its record to 13-6 on the season. The Bucks travel to Richmond (Rockingham, NC) to play the Raiders in a 3A/4A Sandhills bout on Friday, February 2. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 15-5. Richmond won 83-68 in their recent league bout against Pinecrest (Southern Pines, NC)

Next up, the Yellow Jackets play the Overhills Jaguars (Spring Lake, NC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 1. Lee County will attempt to upgrade on its 6-12 season record. The Jaguars go into the bout with a 9-8 record after their 55-53 league win over E.E. Smith (Fayetteville, NC).
