    • North Carolina High School Basketball - Lee County nips Hoke County

    December 15, 2023: Sanford, NC 27330

    Lee County Yellow Jackets (Sanford, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Hoke County Bucks (Raeford, NC), 64-62 in a league bout.

    With the win, Lee County upgrades its record to 2-3 on the season. The Yellow Jackets host Franklinton (Franklinton, NC) to play the Rams in a non-league bout on Monday, December 18. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 2-6. Franklinton won 71-56 in their recent league bout against Nash Central (Rocky Mount, NC)

    Next up, the Bucks play the Jack Britt Buccaneers (Fayetteville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 19. Hoke County will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Buccaneers go into the bout with a 4-4 record after their 56-27 league win over Douglas Byrd (Fayetteville, NC).
