Northampton County Jaguars (Gaston, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting KIPP Pride Pride (Gaston, NC), 77-61 in a league bout.

With the win, Northampton County upgrades its record to 12-4 on the season. The Jaguars travel to Rocky Mount Prep (Rocky Mount, NC) to play the Jaguars in a 1A Tar Roanoke bout on Wednesday, January 31. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 1-10. Rocky Mount Prep lost 84-44 in their recent league bout against Wilson Prep (Wilson, NC)

Next up, the Pride play the Southeast Halifax Trojans (Halifax, NC) in a 1A Tar Roanoke bout, on Thursday, February 1. KIPP Pride will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 12-5 record after their 69-49 league win over Weldon (Weldon, NC).
