With the victory, South Pittsburg upgrades its record to 14-2 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Sale Creek (Sale Creek, TN) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 1. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 15-7. Sale Creek won 56-44 in their recent league bout against Copper Basin (Copperhill, TN)

Next up, the Yellowjackets play the Copper Basin Cougars (Copperhill, TN) in a 1A District 5 bout, on Friday, February 2. Lookout Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 1-17 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 2-14 record after their 71-48 non-league loss to Polk County (Benton, TN).
