South Pittsburg Pirates (South Pittsburg, TN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Lookout Valley Yellowjackets (Chattanooga, TN), 60-33 in a non-league bout.

With the win, South Pittsburg upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Pirates travel to North Jackson (Stevenson, AL) to clash with the Chiefs in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 14. The Chiefs go into the bout with a record of 1-6. North Jackson lost 74-40 in their recent league bout against Madison County (Gurley, AL)

Next up, the Yellowjackets clash with the Whitwell Tigers (Whitwell, TN) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 14. Lookout Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 1-10 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 0-9 record after their 65-48 non-league loss to St. Andrews-Sewanee (Sewanee, TN).
