Superior Central Cougars (Eben Junction, MI) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Mid Peninsula Wolverines (Rock, MI), 32-21 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Superior Central upgrades its record to 13-4 on the campaign. The Cougars host Big Bay de Noc (Cooks, MI) to play the Black Bears in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 1. The Black Bears come into the bout with a record of 9-2. Big Bay de Noc won 72-53 in their recent non-league bout against Maplewood Baptist Academy (Kinross, MI)

Next up, the Wolverines play the Carney-Nadeau Wolves (Carney, MI) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 1. Mid Peninsula will attempt to upgrade on its 1-12 season record. The Wolves come into the bout with a 6-12 record after their 54-32 league loss to North Central (Powers, MI).
