North Dickinson Nordics (Felch, MI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Rapid River Rockets (Rapid River, MI), 61-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, North Dickinson upgrades its record to 7-8 on the season. The Nordics travel to Bark River-Harris (Harris, MI) to play the Broncos in a Central Upper Peninsula bout on Friday, February 2. The Broncos go into the bout with a record of 3-12. Bark River-Harris lost 64-17 in their recent league bout against Munising (Munising, MI)

Next up, the Rockets play the Superior Central Cougars (Eben Junction, MI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Rapid River will attempt to upgrade on its 5-13 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 13-5 record after their 40-29 non-league loss to Big Bay de Noc (Cooks, MI).
