The Appling County Pirates basketball team scored 68 points and held the visiting Toombs County Bulldogs to 45 in the Pirates league triumph on Tuesday.

The Pirates now sport a 8-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Brantley County for a AA Region 3 contest on Friday, February 2. Appling County will meet a Herons team coming off a 54-50 league loss to Tattnall County (Reidsville, GA). The Herons record now stands at 13-9.
