In Friday's league outing, the Appling County Pirates (Baxley, GA) basketball squad felled the host Toombs County Bulldogs (Lyons, GA), by a margin of 45-32.

The Pirates (4-8) will now prepare for their outing against Bacon County (Alma, GA). The Raiders go into the non-league outing with a 4-6 record. In their last outing, Bacon County thwarted Wheeler County (Alamo, GA), 60-30, in a non-league outing.

The Bulldogs now own a 3-7 record. They play next when they travel to Tattnall County for a AA Region 3 outing on Tuesday, January 9.
