The Bellows Free Academy Bobwhites/Comets (St. Albans, VT) basketball felled the visiting Essex Hornets (Essex Junction, VT), 53-41 in Tuesday's league test.
The Bobwhites/Comets (7-5) will now prepare for their test against South Burlington (South Burlington, VT). The Wolves go into the Lake test with a 1-10 record. In their last test, South Burlington was beaten by Champlain Valley Union (Hinesburg, VT), 62-17, in a non-league test.
The Hornets now own a 8-5 record. They play next when they host Burlington for a Metro test on Friday, February 2. Essex will encounter a Seahorses squad coming off a 64-35 league win over Rice Memorial (South Burlington, VT). The Seahorses record now stands at 10-3.
