Gladbrook-Reinbeck Rebels (Reinbeck, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting East Marshall Mustangs (Le Grand, IA), 53-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Gladbrook-Reinbeck upgrades its record to 12-7 on the season. The Rebels travel to Grundy Center (Grundy Center, IA) to play the Spartans in a North Iowa Cedar - West bout on Thursday, February 1. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 17-1. Grundy Center won 50-39 in their recent league bout against AGWSR (Ackley, IA)

Next up, the Mustangs play the GMG Wolverines (Garwin, IA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 5. East Marshall will attempt to upgrade on its 5-15 season record. The Wolverines go into the bout with a 9-10 record after their 51-34 league loss to North Tama (Traer, IA).
