The Eula Pirates basketball team scored 78 points and held the host Rising Star Wildcats to 16 in the Pirates league triumph on Tuesday.

The Pirates now sport a 27-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Moran for a 1A Region II District 13 contest on Friday, February 2. Eula will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 61-10 league loss to May (May, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-24.

Next up, the Wildcats play the Baird Bears (Baird, TX) in a 1A Region II District 13 bout, on Friday, February 2. Rising Star will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Bears go into the bout with a 10-9 record after their 66-27 league loss to Cross Plains (Cross Plains, TX).
