The North Hopkins Panthers basketball team (Sulphur Springs, TX), was nudged 51-45 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Fruitvale Bobcats (Fruitvale, TX)
The Bobcats now possess a 15-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host Como-Pickton for a 2A Region II District 15 battle on Friday, February 2. Fruitvale will battle a Eagles team coming off a 44-29 league win over Boles (Quinlan, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 16-13.
The Panthers (11-19) will now prepare for their battle against Alba-Golden (Alba, TX). The Panthers come into the 2A Region II District 15 battle with a 13-5 record. In their last battle, Alba-Golden edged Fruitvale (Fruitvale, TX), 86-30, in a league battle.
