Genoa Central Dragons (Texarkana, AR) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Prescott Curley Wolves (Prescott, AR), 50-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Genoa Central upgrades its record to 4-16 on the season. The Dragons travel to Fouke (Fouke, AR) to clash with the Panthers in a 3A Region 7 bout on Friday, February 2. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 26-0. Fouke won 49-28 in their recent league bout against Glen Rose (Malvern, AR)

Next up, the Curley Wolves clash with the Centerpoint Knights (Amity, AR) in a 3A Region 7 bout, on Friday, February 2. Prescott will attempt to upgrade on its 4-12 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 17-6 record after their 55-31 league loss to Jessieville (Jessieville, AR).
