The Northwest Texans basketball team (Justin, TX), was overwhelmed 54-21 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Granbury Pirates (Granbury, TX)
The Pirates now possess a 19-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Saginaw for a 5A Region I District 5 battle on Friday, February 2. Granbury will confront a Rough Riders team coming off a 42-38 league loss to Azle (Azle, TX). The Rough Riders record now stands at 7-19.
The Texans (7-23) will now prepare for their battle against Rider (Wichita Falls, TX). The Raiders come into the 5A Region I District 5 battle with a 5-17 record. In their last battle, Rider was overwhelmed by Granbury (Granbury, TX), 50-32, in a league battle.
